After 42 years, the “International Conference on Gas Geochemistry” (ICGG), held for the first time in France in 1982, will be held for the first time in Spain, more specifically in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife, Canary Islands), organized by the Canary Islands Volcanological Institute (INVOLCAN, Instituto Volcanológico de Canarias) and the Environmental Research Division of the Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies (ITER).

From June 16th to 22th 2024, Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) will host the ICGG16 conference, the only international conference fully dedicated to the gas geochemistry. It is considered a high-level international event to discuss the most recent progresses and findings of gas geochemistry and its application to a wide range of research fields.

The 16ICGG represents a great opportunity for scientists doing research on gas geochemistry from many different countries to enjoy a full immersion in science with exchanges and communications at international level all along the working week in the relaxing and confortable environment of the city of Puerto de la Cruz  (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain) at the foot of Teide volcano, one of the 16 Decade Volcanoes.

The venue of the 16ICGG will be the Sala Teatro Timanfaya (Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife) which has a capacity of 200 participants and is located at walking distance from the numerous accommodations selected by the organization.
